Guitar Hero II is the sequel to Guitar Hero. Here you still use a guitar controller, but the soundtrack is more varied and there is a great list here. You play in different venues hitting colored notes and rack up a high score. Make sure not to miss too many notes or you'll fail. Once you have enough star power, you can unleash some energy and get a higher score and as well as raising your rock meter faster. If you enjoy music/rhythm games, you'll like this one.

Ben was quite adamant about the awesomeness of both the game and guitar he played in the Guitar Hero 3 demo package. For the rest of us, the wait for the official Xbox Live release has been arduous, as those around us tout their skills at Tenacious D's 'The Metal.' Some gamers, though, have apparently decided that the wait was just too much, and an ISO of the demo disc has now been made available via less official means online.
Allegedly working on unmodified Xbox 360s, the downloadable ISO can be burnt to a CD or DVD and played by popping in the disc and navigating to the demos section; whatever signing the disc needs to run properly is maintained in the ISO.
The demo, as we previously reported, features five songs: 'Lay Down' by Priestess, 'Even Flow' by Pearl Jam, 'The Metal' by Tenacious D, 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot' as made famous by Pat Benatar, and 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' as made famous by The Scorpions. The demo shipped alongside Tony Hawk's Proving Ground and will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace before the launch of the game on October 28.
Murmurs from forums around the tubes indicate gamer strife over whether or not this is considered true piracy. It is unclear whether or not the demo disc conforms to the typical security measures that prevent the piracy of Xbox 360 games. We have contacted Red Octane for a comment on the situation, but have yet to receive a response.
